We are based in Huddersfield in West Yorkshire. We aim to supply the best quality products at great prices

Mallinson Electrical has been trading online since 2011, we are small, but responsive. Our core products are electronic components for the hobbyist

We are the manufacturer of the popular "Electronic Projects Starter Kit" and "Grandad Pocock's Crystal Radio".

The concept for the store was conceived from a perceived need for good quality components and low prices, and in small quantities.

The owner of Mallinson Electrical, Andrew Mallinson, was a qualified electrician with electronics as a hobby. As the hobby grew, so did the need for parts at a lower price. After much searching for lower prices, the idea of stocking and selling to other hobbyists was born. We now sell all over the world. We are hoping to post to Antarctica at some point, then we can boast "We have our products on every continent"

At the start, Andrew worked 16 hours a day to get the store going. He is now supported by a team of dedicated staff, but still works until 11 most evenings. Products are sourced from all over the world, and calls to customers as far away as Australia can be at any time of the day or night

The Electronic Project Starter kit is our most popular product. We have sold over 10,000 and sales are still growing steadily.

Originally designed to support his 11 year old daughter while studying technology at school, The kit is now sold to schools, and is proving a very popular teaching aid.

Thank you for visiting our store. I hope you have found it interesting and informative. I never forget that this is only possible because of your patronage, and for that I am grateful.

I recently broke the website, trying to create this sleeker look. This has caused many sleepless nights and I apologise if it has caused inconvenience.

Moving forward, I hope to continue to provide the resources at parts you need to let you fulfil your potential.

I would especially like to thank everyone who has supported this project and hope you will continue

Andrew Mallinson
